Kolhapur: The maximum temperatures in south central Maharashtra have been increasing, and people are experiencing extreme heat conditions during the daytime, with slightly pleasant temperature at night. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rainfall alert for Kolhapur, Sangli and Solapur on Feb 23 and 24.
On Saturday, as per IMD, the minimum temperature in Kolhapur increased by 3.2 degrees to reach 20.8°C, while the maximum increased by 1.5 degrees to reach 34.9°C.
In Satara, the minimum temperature increased by 3.4 degrees to reach 18.4°C, while the maximum increased by 1.7 degrees to reach 35.8°C. In Mahabaleshwar too, temperature change was seen with tourists experiencing summer heat while the taste of fresh strawberries. The minimum temperature in Mahabaleshwar increased by 2 degrees to reach 17.1°C, while the maximum increased by 2.1 degrees to reach 30.7°C.
